First Sushi Roll!

Today.. the first time in my life of making my first sushi roll! Yay! Bought everything needed ages ago and finally got myself to do it this morning! Hehe, I am proud of myself! Self-praise is no disgrace. I believed that practise makes perfect. I only managed to think of cooked ham and egg roll sushi. Here's a pic of it.



A friend of mine came to visit me today. He came all the way from Sydney. I mean he wasn't here just to vist me, also other friends and visit Melbourne too. But still, its the thought that counts. Didn't see him for almost 6 months since I left Malaysia. Felt so bad to make him washed all the dishes for me. Those from last night and my sushi-making session. Hehe.. that's what friends are for.. He was here for couple of hours, we watched TV, chat and eat. Good to catch up with him!

Today's revision class wasn't too bad too. Got all the points down for tomorrow's exam - Music Production Analysis. So tonight's plan is to study study and study! Last module before christmas and my 2 weeks break shall begin!! Can't wait until Friday to go HOME! Haha..

Gotta get something to eat and then study!

The Grudge

Gotta woke up pretty early this morning, Yale's coming over to pick Mandy up. I slept at almost 2am and got up at 10am. I was really tired though I know 8 hours of sleep is more than enough for my age. I can't stop yawning while waiting for Yale with her. Thank God he came earlier than I expected. I wasn't being mean or whatever, somehow I felt a little glad that she finally could go home. I think friends are better off not staying together, especially the close ones. Not that she had done anything, just me who are particular about some living habits I suppose.

Went back to sleep when my MSN disconnected itself after checking my mail and stuff online. Woke up by my sis again after half an hour. So I decided to wake up for good. Went yum cha in Kingbo restaurant. Had so many nice food again! I'm gaining loads of weight! It was definitely worth it. Hehe..

Then we went to get tickets for the movie "The Grudge". And wander around the city, here and there until the movie starts. That movie was freaking SCARY!!! Thought I would die inside the cinema. Goshh! My heart was beating so fast till it almost dropped out! But still, a must-watch movie, eventhough it was similiar to Ju-On Part 1.

HAPPEE..

Had been even busy than before these few days. A friend of mine had came to stay with us since Tuesday. And since then, 4 people in the house instead of the usual 2! It was great, the more the merrier. She will be leaving on Saturday morning anyway.

Today was great! Went to.. Moorabin with my sis to one of her teahcer's place. She was told to bring me along for lunch or something. This russian-Aussie couple were really nice. They cooked us lunch, it was one after another, from entree to main course then dessert. Haven't been eating so much, as in so contagious, filling. And their house was so spiritual I would say. Crystals all over the place, healing stuff and a pyramid-like thing in the garden! Me and Lev had common topics! He love sci-fi story, aliens, the unexplained etc etc. At the end of the meal while us insisting to leave, he gave me an ocean jasper! OMG, that was really nice of him, I wanted to pay him back, but he said if you really like something, it's more meaningful to be given to you as a present rather than using your own money to buy it. Though I was shy when they told me to come back anytime after my sis left, but who knows I might. He said I can always call up, giving the reason that I want to buy crystal eventhough I want to go there just for lunch; they'll be glad. Nice people.

There were so many small little things that I wanted to write it all down here! The black dog who ran towards me at the train station, hail pouring down on the way back! But the most amazing event of the day was while we were approaching the corner of Collins & Queen St. Tram 109 had broke down by lightning strike. Thick smoke was coming out from the top of the tram, the "connector" which connect the tram to the electric wire up there. More and more thick brown smoke rushed out then sparks flying out of it. We were close to that tram and sis was so scared, wanted to leave and head home. But I insist to watch it nearby. There was this man being so mean by saying "ooo, it's gonna blow up!". That was the first time I saw things like that happened in Melbourne City.

And then.. 4 of us went dinner at Seoul Garden. We had korean BBQ! Yummy.. my friend treat us this meal as she said she had been disturbing us for few days. Yea.. Everything went pretty well except the waitress who served us. Anyone would feel the same. First, she was so impoilte. Second, she was rough as in dropping things elsewhere few times and almost choked my sis with her shoulder. I mean, how could one had such big movement and not watching the customer having a spoon in her mouth. Third, she was impatient. Couldn't even bother to ask the kitchen what the springroll contained. Well, nice place, nice food but lousy waitress. Of all the others, we were unlucky to have her.

Anyways, took a short walk home instead of taking tram. We saw this bunch of street dancer outside Lin Control, having trance & techno music played so loud that I could hear it 2 blocks away (maybe). These ravers were so cool. They can dance so well, goshh! Wonder how long had they been dancing! We spent almost half an hour watching them, hehe. FOC.

New Planet?

I had a weird dream last night. It wasn't really weird, fascinating perhaps! Me and a bunch of friends had been kidnapped to another planet. It was half kidnapped and half willingly being kidnapped. We were sent to the city by a train sort of transport and reached some kind of underground "base".

A woman was stationed there to watch us, just incase anyone of us intend to escape. Surprisingly in the dream, we weren't afraid as in scream and struggle and try all different ways to escape. No. In fact, under the "base", in order for us to go back to earth, we had to solve a crossword puzzle. And the completion of the puzzle will lead us to the "Lock Room", which is the core of the "base" and there will be something which can send us back to earth.

So, everyone were trying hard to solve it. After some time, few people managed to solve it! And few other people try to distract the woman who was watching us so that they can escape and get to the lock room. This part of the dream has ended and another part of the dream began.

We took a short walk out there. This planet wasn't too bad. Not much development. Even the city looked like suburb. A very peaceful planet. In the dream, it was Friday night. We were told by another friend to check out how their Friday night would be like. And the truth is it was like any other usual day. Nothing much happened, no life, no music, just normal. Then we were back to the base and met another friend. He had been kidnapped to work in that planet in some laundry place. But the funniest thing he said was he had to send his laundry back to earth because his working place doesn't allow him to do it here. ??

Anyway, later we were in some shopping center's underground carpark. Couldn't really remember what happened, maybe couldn't find the car or something else. That carpark was bright and nice, with a little hot food stall located in the middle of it.

.. That was my dream. Seriously, I wouldn't mind moving there IF this place really exist.

Sis Bday!

Today's sis birthday! Didn't really spend much time with her because she was attending some crystal healing course. But I do get her a cake and pressie. A really nice one though. Black forest, her favourite! I didn't quite like the taste, but as long as the birthday girl like it, no problems!

Went White Lotus for vegetarian food in the evening after her course. Haven't been there since ages! The food was still as nice as before, especially the assam fish. Yummy!

Basically that was all that happened of the day..

Resit..

Another hectic day for me! This morning I woke up at 9, had my Recording & Mixing Process exam at 10am. I was in very-tired mode while trying hard to answer all those questions. Got a fine of 30 bucks for not sitting the class exam that day! Damn.. BUT, I think I did pretty good for that. No probs.

As soon as I got back, sis asked me along to Ormond, a place which I'd never been or heard before, was looking for a new age shop. Wasn't as impressive as we thought. The previous ones we went in Moonee Ponds were fantastic. Went lunch and got a call from Yale. I was surprised though. I thought he was joking about Mandy had been admitted to hospital and stuff, but found out to be true later. I was really worried about her though it wasn't some serious illness.

Took a train all the way from city to Boxhill, and walked to Boxhill hospital. Didn't know what to get her, so only got a bouquet of flowers and glucose! Hehe, tips from my bf that she needed glucose for food poisoning. She looked really pale and much skinnier, gosh. But she was fine. Glad to know that. It was the 4th day since she had been admitted. Met her mum and sis. Didn't see them since last year. Was invited to go over for dinner some time!

Well, good to know everyone's alright and good. Thanks Yale, for informing me!

Another Great Day..

Received a call from Sanity yesterday evening, reminding me to collect my copy of Harry Potter - Prisoner of Azkaban's DVD from them. Got it this afternoon! Yay! Gotta watch it sometime when I'm free.

Went to class earlier today to speak to John regarding my absence yesterday night. He wasn't sure what was the procedure of being absent in the exam but I managed to sort out with the admin. Gotta talk to another person in charge to re-schedule the exam. Should be this Friday if they're efficient enough.

Today, John was telling us that half the class did not pass Digital Fundamentals. All border line results. I'd got 73! 2 marks to pass! We weren't surprised by that as we think we couldn't get use of his teaching method. New lecturer. So, the conclusion was we will be given another verbal examination next week. Those who can pass this part of the test will pass, or else.. gotta resit. Fair enough I reckon. I'd rather do it this way rather than resitting the whole paper. As for now, we sorta getting use of his way of teaching. He wasn't as bad though, infact, he's a great teacher!
