Nightmare

What a scary dream I had last night.. From the moment I doze off, I started dreaming till the very moment I woke up. I could hardly rest my brain and it felt like I have been up the whole night.

In the dream, I went for holiday, I think it should be some island in Indonesia. Bali??!! No idea.. As soon as we reached the so-called hotel, a motel perhaps! We were taken to our room, individually. Their rooms are located along the stairs. Means my room was just next to the stairs, on the "slope". *weird* That room was spooky.. as if something has stayed in there since decades ago. Well the room was huge. I thought it was small at first. But the middle part is hidden and it became huge when I found it. I stayed in Room 219. Here's a draft for the room layout.

What else.. I saw Sydney Opera House from the window in my room. WTF..? In the geography point of view, there's no way I can see Opera House from there..! And the scariest thing I saw was the wave almost reach the top of it! It just splashed towards the Opera House direction. Too much Tsunami news I supposed.. I began to ask myself will the wave come to my direction or what? Should I go or what? And another part of the dream is even scary.. didn't want to bring it up here.. It was disgusting and unethical and nonsense. But it was me.

That dream ended and I woke up. Wanted to go the toilet. As I touched the door handle of my room, the alarm starts roaring! My heart almost flew out, plus the after effect of the dream. Things are just happening at the same seconds!

Holiday!!

I'm on holiday officially from today.. Though I still have 2 assignments waiting to hand up on Monday, but its all done! Specially thanks to Mr. Matthew Wong for his contribution.. haha.. Supposingly to hand it up today, but due to some special reasons, I decided to postponed it till Monday. Well.. I suppose I haven't got much to do these weekend.

Went to Nature's Workshop to look for Anna and Peter. Was asked to get some ruby zoisite for my younger bro. Anna give it to me FOC. I felt so bad that she didn't want me to pay. She said it's for my bro as samples. Thanks alot..

It was such a sunny and humid day and we sweat all the way there and back. What make it worse is the bus ride to Northcote. The air-cond wasn't functioning properly.. Damn it.. Then, had to stop by the travel agents place to pick up my air ticket. I was thrilled by them telling me about someone has picked up the ticket on my behalf yesterday! Got this sorted out and it was a bloody mistake! Anyways, as soon as I got back, I met up with Mandy. Went to get something to eat and we both updated each other since our last catch up a month ago. It was great to see her.

Got to take a cold shower! Laters...

6 Hours in Studio B

I felt so exhausted.

I spent almost 6 hours in Studio B today. Had my competency test done, and I passed! Had my 2 multitrack song mixed! Phew.. I'm 60% done with my Production Project. Can't wait to finish it. But I have to re-mix those songs again tomorrow due to some stupid mistakes I made today. Well, this is my first time mixing.. So.. I will do it better next time. Soon to be professional, not yet now.

Can't Wait To Go Home..

Had been busy with everything these few days. At times I thought I wasn't that busy but actually I AM. I finally got a call from someone who is interested for the free recording session. But their band will only be free from next Thursday or Friday, which I doubt that I will be able to do the session with them. Even I join them, but I won't have much time for mixing. I suppose I will leave it for my group mates.

I spoke to Jeff regarding this matter, telling him I'll be away from the beginning of February. And I wouldn't be able to hand it up by end of the January if we still can't record. He said he might be giving me a pre-recorded track for me to mix it. YES! That's what I was asking for. And since last Thursday, I have been reading alot about mixing. I want to hand up a perfect mix. And I'm going to be busy the whole next week. My final week of this course in JMC. Got my competency test on Monday and business plan presentation on Thursday and the whole week to mix 2 tracks. I can do it..

Well, all these has to happen in this week because I will be going home soon. Yea, again I know. This time is for chinese new year. And my bf is going back with me! He's going to be in KL for few days before he goes back to HK. Luckily his PR has been approved or else he'll be staying in Melbourne for new year. Good thing is at least I can bring him around, since it's his first time to KL. Show him where I grew up and what it feels like to be a Malaysian.

As for now, I really got to read more, and be prepared for the coming week. I hope I'll be able to finish everything as planned. Sigh.. help..

Fuji Print

Nothing much happened today.. Went to the crepe place again. I had Salmon this time. It was as tasty as the vege lasagne. Took this pic few steps away from that place. It was the painting who caught my attention and the location who make it so unique. Hehe.. Past by that place few times already but didn't have enough time to snap a pic of it. Got it this time..

Then I went to developed photos somewhere near my college. It took me half an hour to upload 80 pics from my phone to the Fuji machine! Put it into CD but couldn't print it the size I want. Damn.. so I had to do it one-by-one. The size of each pic is about 2.5R. Slightly smaller than 3R. It was excellent with the Fuji machine, and of course my k700i too.. hehe..

Future World Map

Had a great day today. Met up with Anna and Peter for lunch in an Indian Restaurant in Johnston St, Fitzroy. That place is called Guru Da Dhaba, pure Indian food. Yummy.. The food was delicious, everything was perfect. Right time because I was starving, right people because they were nice, right location because i got free ride.

Anna and Peter are my sister's crystal supplier in Melbourne. This is the second time I meet up with them. The first time was few weeks back when they went to Malaysia for travelling. Even before that I do spoke to her over the phone for goods delivery. For some reason, I felt that me and my sis are connected to them in a way, hidden connection I would say.

After the feast, they brought me back to their home and workplace. How nice to work downstairs and live upstairs of a huge place. I really love their house! Both floors are interconnected by stairs of course, but the special thing was the spiral staircase. There were 2 of them! One of them connects to an ethic, just like a mezzanine floor. And I met their pets too, a dog & a cat.

Anna has been so nice to bring me visit each corner of their place. I was attracted to this "Future map of the world" in their office. It shows which part of the world will exist in the future. New lands will rise and some will sink beneath the sea by 2012. I do believe. Disaster are happening everywhere and it is possible that some countries might be gone due to axis shift, global warming and etc. Although it is hard to determine how accurate the prediction will be, it will happen somehow, sooner or later. Here's the site address: http://www.earthchanges.com/

Before she dropped me home, she took me to roam around Northcote suburb. I've always wanted to stay away from the city. Well, maybe in the future. Providing that I have my own car.. haha.. Anyways, she bought me "CHAI". The ingredient for indian tea which is our favourite teh tarik. Will try to boil and "tarik" it tonight. =)

Trapped & Released

Woke up at 10am today due to the heat trapped in the room. Though it was sunny and a little cooling out there, my apartment temperature is way higher than outside.

All these while since I moved in, me and my bf didn't open any windows. There are many windows in our apartment, but we were afraid that "flying objects" such as mosquitos, flies or anything that has got wings will fly in here. Even when my sis were here last month, I refused to let her open my room's window as in not more than 1 inch.

Then I called JMC to ask for my refund for the toolkit deposit that I had paid last month and they told me I can go in anytime to collect it. I got myself to wash up and changed in 15 minutes. As soon as I reached there, the admin make me waited for another 15 minutes or so before giving me back my 100 bucks. Well, never mind. I went to the studio next door to look for my tutor, Jesse to arrange for an earlier competency test. Supposingly, the test is scheduled earlier February but I couldn't make it and I have to finish my production project much earlier than anyone in my class by end of the month. I've got a stupid business plan and production project due at the same time. And till now, my group still hasn't find any bands that's interested to come in for free recording. Sigh.. well.. hopefully by next week we'll be able to get someone in and I can hand up my work earlier. If we record late, then I'll have to rush up for my mix. BUT, it's worth it because I'll be heading home for new year! And I'm completing my Cert IV a month faster than my classmates! Then when I got back, I'll continue my Diploma in SAE!

Anyways, I managed to book Jesse for 24th Jan at 10am for my test! After that I went to Photo Factory to took instant photos, need it for my Nepal visa. I tried out the new Fuji Digital Imaging machine while waiting for my photos. I got one photo from my mobile transfered there and printed out! How nice is the boss to give me FOC..

I went home and then went out again with my bf. We finally decided to open the window to let some fresh air in. We went clegs and bought some cloths. Don't know what that type of material is called, but it was with little tiny holes. How about calling it mosquito net material? We went to the crepe place, a french cafe then. I had vegetarian lasagne and ice coffee! As soon as we got back, we put those cloths in front of each windows with cellotape. Haha.. and instanly the whole apartment became cool as if we owned a natural air-conditioner.

CHANGES?

I've been searching for a new school lately. I couldn't bring myself to stay on in JMC for another semester. Well I suppose there are goods and bads about every school, but why stay on if I have better options for my future?

I'll be starting my Diploma in SAE College from 28 Feb. I had heard about this college from everyone, they even have a branch in Malaysia. But what they offered is different and wasn't what I wanted to do. What I want is solely Audio Engineering, not combining digital film and stuff. I have come to this point where I know very specifically what I want and I'll go straight to that.

I went to SAE yesterday and I was very impressed with their new campus. In terms of technology, they've got everything one needs. The smallest studio is equivalent to the biggest in JMC. *I didn't like to compare, but that's the fact* The most important is their course is more practical-based. I had been told that the class that I will be joining is only for JMC students, so far there are 20 people in the class already. They know what we had done in JMC and the course syllabus has been revised for us. Theory will be cut down and more prac will be replaced. I'll be seeing half of my classmates in SAE. Yes, they all felt the same as I do. For any students who transfer from other colleges, half the tuition fees will be waived. That wasn't the main reason I'm leaving, but it certainly make a very big difference.

New year, new change, new environment. I change for the better. But issues such as my student visa expiring, change of education provider, requesting release letter from school etc etc is coming in. I have to go through all these shits but I'm happy to do that because I chose this.

The Last Breakthrough

The Last Breakthrough.. Another TVB series that I had just finished watching. I fell in love with the story. Though I am not a doctor in real life, but being able to know how they save lives is great. Maybe in real life too, not all doctors are as nice as those people in there. But no one should doubt that it is such a noble occupation.

Over the 30 episodes, many different events had triggered me and I felt really greatful of what I'm having now. On the other side of the globe, people are suffering from hunger, war, disaster and perhaps dying. And on ther other side of the globe, people are eating too much, wasting their lives, not knowing how to cherish what they have.

Still remember one said that "Happiness is not mandatory, cherish what is in front of you." And one said that "No one knows when is the last time, treat it the last time everytime."It both mean the same thing of course, but we often forgot how lucky we are sometimes and still asking for more and more beyond our basic neccesity.

In some ways, it influenced me. It reminded me as well of my current status. I'm such a lucky girl. I have family who loves me, friends who support me, I have got everything that I need.. What else could I ask for more?

Back to Melbourne..

Haven't got time to blog for almost 3 weeks.. Too much to mentioned here. Back in KL for 2 weeks. I had never felt that happy to be home for those previous years I was in Melbourne.

Got to see my family was the happiest thing that happened for the past few weeks. Being able to accompany them go anywhere, or even staying home doing nothing made me happy. I just miss home that's all. Here I got to apologise to some friends of mine, whom I didn't got much time to catch up with them. Hope they understand..

My brain must have been jammed up by food. I don't know what to write now.. Will try to gain back my blogger strength and spirit as soon as possible.
